I’ve had this sensor trash can for around 8 months now , and honestly , the sensor has been really dependable . It opens when I put my hand near it , but it doesn’t randomly pop open just because I walk by .
I thought it might end up being annoying or miss my hand half the time , but that hasn’t been the case at all . When I’m cooking and my hands are messy , it reacts quickly and saves me from touching the lid .
The batteries have also lasted way longer than I expected . It’s a small convenience , but it really does make taking out trash and cleaning up after cooking easier . Definitely 5 stars from me .
